Fuel Analysis Services

Waring Oil Company offers specific fuel testing for generators to identify the main causes of emergency power failure. Generator fuel often sit stagnant for years, only to be used for short times during maintenance tests. During this time, if not properly treated, the fuel can lose thermal stability, grow bacteria, mold and fungus, and begin to lose cetane. Any of these can shut down your generator when you need it most.

Tests for water, bacteria, mold, fungus, thermal stability and cetane are necessary for you to understand the condition of your fuel.

Fuel analysis can also identify potential causes for plugging of fuel filters, smoking, loss of power, poor injector performance, malfunctioning throttle position sensors, and sticking valves. Testing also confirms a diesel fuel’s sulfur content, biodiesel content, and compliance with manufacturer specifications and standards for cleanliness that could affect equipment warranty requirements.

While Waring Oil Company offers multiple fuel testing packages, we can customize a package to accommodate your specific requirements.
